Lane Ward

Lane was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Attended West High School, University of Utah, and Brigham Young University.He loved rhythm and syncopation. He was trained in Jazz drumming by Joe Campbell and Jan Hydewho played percussion in the New Orleans Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the Utah Symphony Orchestra. Lane’s most influential jazz drummer was Joe Morello who played with the Dave Brubeck Quartet. Lane converted to Rock n’ Roll when joining The Four/Fifths, a Folk group who were moving into Rock n’ Roll near the time of the British music invasion in the 1960’s,which later became known as The Grimm.He has a love for music commencing at an early age developed vocal capabilities and eventually in college received vocal training from renowned opera singer Ray Arbizu. Lane became a business executive in the technology and health care industries and has been recognized in National Who’s Who of Executives & Professionals (2004), Utah Valley Entrepreneur of the Year (2001), International Leader in Achievement (1990), Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America (1989-90), Who’s Who in Finance & Industry (1989-90), and Who’s Who in the West (1987-88).
